Hi, I'm Inha. I majored in Chemistry and Physics in Wesleyan University, and graduated with high honors in Physics. As an undergrad, I was shocked about just how much a teaching style can affect my learning. I was eager to be like those amazing teaching assistants who completely changed my view of Math and Physics, so that I can also help everyone like myself. That was the fall of 2012. Since then, I taught 6 Math and 3 Physics courses in college alone, and I am still teaching as a private tu...

She is good for my disciplined challenged 8 year old. Prepares well is patient and really understands the material. We have used her exclusively for months now

Inha is very knowledgeable in physics and she does a great job explaining the steps and which equations to use to solve different problems, including conceptual ones. The tutoring session went very well as she was helpful and knew exactly how to solve the problems! I would recommend her without hesitation!

Inha spent a lot of time preparing material to help my daughter with a physics project. Inha is thorough, patient, kind, and detail oriented. My daughter is grateful to have found a tutor who explains complicated concepts with clarity. Inha is a fantastic teacher, and an expert in her fields.

Inha was incredibly helpful in explaining difficult concepts to my daughter. My daughter said, ?she is awesome! I totally understand it now!? We are grateful to Inha for her patience, dedication, and thorough attention. Thank you!

Inha is very kind and approachable. We covered topics in Organic Chemistry II, surrounding oxidizing and reduction agents, carbonyl acidity, energy diagrams, and EAS. I've learned a lot of new skills from Inha's thought process, and am continuing to see her for the rest of my semester!

I had Inha work with my son for college Calculus (Calculus II) and Physics (mechanics) after going through two very disappointing tutors. In reviewing her session, I could see she was very sharp and very prepared. Because I've only had her for one session, I would be lying if I said she was this and that, but what I can speak to is my conversations with her where I shared with her my expectations. I didn't want a tutor to help my son with his homework. What I wanted was someone that would be able to hit home the concepts, rather than given him instructions on how to do things. Anyone can follow directions, and that's what most tutors do---they supply directions for students to follow or something along those lines. What I wanted was for her to focus on teaching him concepts, so my son would be able to come up with his own directions. She completely understood and knew exactly what I meant. I also told her I wanted this to be a conversation, rather than a lecture because I want my son to contribute; I'm a firm believer that if one can explain something to another, it shows they have grasped the material. It's easy to sit there and nod your head because everything makes sense. It's another to re-explain that back in your own words. Inha knew exactly where I was going with this. I also mentioned I wanted him to convey his thoughts on a whiteboard so she could see his thoughts, and what did she do? She was accustomed to using PowerPoint slides but abandoned ship for the Wyzant whiteboard to accommodate my wishes. This to me is what a tutor is supposed to be. Someone that is willing to meet the needs of the student and parent. I didn't want a robot as my son's tutor; I wanted a tutor that was alive and willing to change and accommodate my son's needs, someone willing to change their approach to meet my needs, and that's exactly what she did. And when I made suggestions for her after reviewing their first session, she met those suggestions with an open mind, something I can't say for my son's first two tutors. After giving them some minor critique and suggestions, they both told me that they weren't a good fit and I'm glad they did because we now have someone we feel good with. If my son needs any more sessions, for sure, it will be with Inha! If all you want is someone to walk your child through their homework, I think anyone will do, but if you actually want your child to learn something, get Inha!

Inha was very knowledgeable and patient. She was an amazing help to my daughter with her Algebra 2 and Chemistry. We would definitely use her again and recommend her.
