Hey,

I'd love to talk to you in more detail about lessons and my teaching style, but will give you a brief description here.

Rather than have my students buy a book, I custom tailor a book for them based on three things...

1) What it is they want to learn
2) What artists/bands they are interested in
3) What their current skill level happens to be

I make all of my own handouts on the same music notation software used in most instructional books.

I teach all styles of music to ...

Really passionate teacher. Lots of energy and information. Paul is a very dedicated instructor. He came prepared and listened to what I was interested in learning.

The guy is a stud when it comes to learning bass. His teaching methodology gets you understanding and playing the bass quickly and his positive and encouraging manner sets a great tone for the meeting. Two lessons in, and I?m already playing songs I know and my wife and kids are impressed!
- Benjamin S. from Tujunga, CA
Paul did a great session on the basics of LogicPro. He's very clear, and builds the lesson so that the student will feel confident in using the software. I'm going to continue with him; he's just great.

Between his patience, depth of musical knowledge from being classically trained, this is such a great person to take your musical education journey. Really enjoying my lessons so far and look forward to becoming a truly proficient guitar player under Paul's tutelage. Thanks Paul!

Paul is showing me things that I just never bothered to look at in the past. Im seeing the guitar neck a lot better now. Paul is patient and very knowledgable...we are applying what he's teaching and its all going very well so far.
- Marc H. from Rochester, MI
great first session really met me where I am at in the process. I?m excited for more sessions. He was able to distill music theory at a very comprehensive level.
- Ryan G. from El Cerrito, CA
I am so happy to have found Paul to help teach me guitar. He is an experienced and dedicated teacher---not his first rodeo....His passion for teaching and for the guitar comes through loud and clear. He has created an excellent notebook to help us beginning students move forward. He taught me basics and then, by virtue of this being a private lesson, was able to follow my lead for where to focus, when to speed through, and what portions of the lesson to slow down. I can't wait for our next lesson---in the meantime, I have some cool practicing to do!
- Mark S. from Beverly Hills, CA
Paul is really good at tailoring lessons to your individual goals and interests, and you can tell how knowledgeable he is about music. He also provides his own tabs for any song you want. For someone who?s used to trying to navigate guitartabs, this is extremely helpful

How to use the equalizer supplied by pro-tools 2021.3. Paul was very patient, which I needed, going at my pace with thorough explanation. He paused to take any amount of time answering questions I had. He was complete. After the session, I eq'd a stereo, two mic, acoustic guitar part I had recorded, panning the two channels left and right. I am very pleased with the improvements I made, and the sound I got.
- Dennis P. from Framingham, MA
I had my first class with Paul and highly recommend him. He is very patient and knowledgeable about everything music related! I have experience playing the piano, but had no real knowledge about the guitar. He was able to fine tune his lessons to fit my needs with that background. I highly recommend!!
- Winston C. from Pasadena, CA
He taught me how to play a song and taught me the different chords. He is very patient and gives you paper to print out to help you learn how to play. I do recommend his services

I contacted Paul for guitar lessons, with the goal of learning electric guitar to ultimately write and record my own music. Once we established my long term goals, Paul immediately adapted his lesson plan to my desired outcomes. We've created a plan to learn recording software basics, electric guitar, music production vocabulary, and more. Paul is patient, knowledgeable, and extremely talented. He doesn't talk at you, and instead quizzes you along the way to make sure you're retaining. Whatever your music goals are, Paul will work with you on a plan to accomplish them and set you up for success.
