After three satisfying careers (software engineer, public interest lawyer, and educational publisher), I left the big city to come home to the mountains of West Virginia. I am happy raising goats and grandchildren at Storybook Farm, but I still want to share my love of law and logic with the next generation. That's why I tutor just one subject: the LSAT.

Every student is different and every one is special. I can't predict what I would do to help make your law school dreams come true, but I...

Scott is a wonderful tutor and really cares about his students. I improved over 10 points with just a few weeks of lessons. He explains concepts very well and provides lots of useful tips for thinking through question types and improving timing. Definitely would recommend working with him.
- Veronica R. from Tampa, FL
Scott has taught me that when you?re committed to something, you accept no excuses, only results. Despite the technology pitfalls, finding a flexible LSAT prep program, obstacles of working full time, work commute woes, and the hustle and bustle of home life while studying, Scott is patient with me. He pushes me to achieve more and to master a study schedule that works for me. The steady encouragement and tough love he gives alone is what I need. I?m excited to continue working with him.
- Ashley M. from Baltimore, MD
I came into Scott's tutoring having already hit a 170 on a practice test, with scores consistently in the high 160s. Scott was the person I needed to push my score beyond good into great. For RC, he showed me in quickly how to effectively tackle inference questions in ways I had not heard before. Everybody knows RC is the hardest to improve in. With Scott, however, he has the unique and rare skill of perfecting already is good. Exactly the tutor you need to conquer your weaknesses and seize the dream 180, the golden key to the top law schools.
- Rio G. from Kirkland, WA
Coming into our tutoring sessions with a solid 172 on practice tests, I was looking for the insightful eye of a professional to help me cross the last threshold to 180 territory. Scott is an extremely knowledgeable tutor and was able to pinpoint exactly where the remaining holes in my skill set were hiding. Through both lessons and practice guidelines, Scott was able to help me achieve my first 180 on a real LSAT practice test. This has left me confident in advance of my test day and I am certain that Scott?s help will have made all the difference in my score. If you find yourself in a similar situation, Scott has my full recommendation.
- Alexander V. from Great Neck, NY
I have only had a few sessions with Scott and I can already tell the difference he is making. You can tell from your first meet with him that he is experienced and knows how to get results. I was struggling with the RC section and everything I have read says that it is very difficult to improve in RC. Scott taught me a method I could practice on my own time. I am already getting better! He goes above and beyond what I was looking for in a tutor and Im so happy I decided to go with Scott. Trust me, your search stops here!
- Shannon O. from Wrentham, MA
I have only had 1 session with scott so far & I can already tell the huge difference he is going to make in my studying. Seriously one of the best people I have ever heard of, but also, the kindest and most encouraging tutor. He is awesome!!!!
- Andrea G. from Boone, NC
When thinking about what I could do with having just one week left until test day, I reached out to a couple of tutors in Wyzant explaining I just needed help with reading comprehension. Lucky for me, I found Scott and he provided me with insane methods and tricks to conquer reading comp. If you are in the position I was I recommend you sign up for a session with Scott.

Scott and I are working on nailing my timing down for all sections of the LSAT. I had previously taken prep-test classes through a major prep-test company, and was not having a lot of success. Scott has already shown me tools that I can use to improve my score. He is patient, kind, very understanding, and makes learning fun.
- Faisal R. from Lakewood, OH
In just two sessions, Scott helped me with a strategy to figure out Inference questions. I used to dread the Reading Comprehension sections and now I feel much more confident in my ability to answer each question. Not only is Scott extremely knowledgable about the LSAT and great at teaching, he is also an incredibly kind and understanding tutor.
- Layla M. from Renton, WA
Scott is an extremely intelligent and capable tutor who has an unmatched understanding of the material of the LSAT. He is also a very kind and understanding person and willing to adjust his style to cater to each student's needs.
- Varun A. from Austin, TX
Scott is hands down the best LSAT tutor I have ever come across. He has a way of teaching you how to do the LSAT, in the most simplest of terms. I took the LSAT last October with zero preparation and scored a 139. Now after working with Scott I am now scoring in the 160's and blind reviewing into the 170's!! If I can raise my score I know you can, and Scott is the key to my success and he will be for you.
- Spencer H. from Springfield, MO
Scott is super patient and understanding. He truly makes it work with whatever schedule you have. Gives you the confidence you need to tackle an intimidating test such as the LSAT. He designs his explanations in a ways to make it extremely understanding!
- Vanessa G. from Glen Head, NY
Through two lessons Scott has been extremely helpful in improving the ways at which I look at and dissect Q&A's in the RC section. From my first lesson with him I was able to decrease me incorrect answers, and I predict that his added advice will help continue that pattern. We are moving into the LR section and I am very confident that his future lessons will help minimize the time spent and incorrect thought paths that have previously led me to wrong answers. He provides me with thorough and specific feedback, but more importantly, help that can be utilized on vast portions of the test as well. I'm excited to continue my work with Scott and optimistic about my scores.
- David F. from Irvine, CA
He spoke about specific ways I need to look at a question type, which helped me increase my score by 3 points. He is very knowledgeable about the LSAT and I look forward to working with him.
- Nakia W. from Philadelphia, PA
Scott is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the LSAT and knows the best techniques to navigate it. I highly recommend him and would give him 6 stars out of 5 for how much he as helped me in just 2-3 lessons!
- Ryaan I. from Mechanicsburg, PA
I came into the LSAT with a fairly high score but wanted to improve my score significantly to apply to top law schools. With Scott's help, I managed to do just that! He is an expert at the LSAT and will quickly and easily find and target your inefficiencies and weakest areas in order to help you maximize your improvement. Scott is very well-versed in the test and how to approach it, providing advice not just about particular sections of the exam but generally how best to approach it up to test day. I saw a huge improvement in my score on practice tests using Scott's methods and was able to apply that work on the day of the real thing itself. I highly recommend taking Scott's free session to figure out if he's the right choice for you. I'm sure he will be!

After one session with Mr. S., I felt as if my IQ grew a few increments higher. He gave me that much confidence and I understood his teaching! He is entirely patient and he goes over everything with you in intricate detail. His flash card method is stellar! I am honestly so blessed that he reached out when he did, I was honestly losing hope that I'd ever understand this LSAT of a beast.
- Beatrice B. from Newark, DE
Mr. Scott is a great tutor! He is very patient and knowledgeable. More importantly, he is willing to go through each question with you if you do not understand. This is very important to me and my understanding of the material, as I am a very detail oriented person and my not understand one form of reasoning. Having someone who will go through each question with me as well as give me multiple explanations as to why an answer is correct (or incorrect) is very important to me understanding why my train of thought may be not in line with an argument. This way of teaching helps me to better identify flaws in arguments. There are some teachers that are like, "This is the ONLY explanation....just because. DEAL WITH IT!" Mr. Scott is not like that at all; he is very open to adjusting to different types of learning. Lastly, Mr. Scott is flexible and is able to work with your schedule as well as your financial situation. Having someone who is flexible to my financial situation is very important to me. That action really shows that he cares. I look forward to working with Mr. Scott more in future lessons! 8)

Dear Reader, I understand that you may be apprehensive about forking up a considerable deal of money for a tutor. You should be, as it is one of the most salient investments you will ever make. Fortunately, your search has come to an end now that you have found Mr. Scott S. The LSAT is not merely a game of techniques, tricks, tools, and the like (all of which he will expertly catechize), but requires you to fundamentally understand the stimulus in front of you. Fortunately, Mr S. teaches the LSAT as if he were the actual author of each exam. Of course, you can find ?explanations? for virtually every LSAT question online. Unfortunately, that won?t improve your score. Mr. S. explains how and why to think about each question to the point at which you will be reading the exam as if you wrote it yourself. Naturally, no online program, class, forum, or living entity (whether it be a human tutor or LSAT demigod) can guarantee you a 180, and those who profess otherwise are lying. Recognizing that, Mr. S will force you to hit the apex of your scoring potential. Bereft of physically holding the next LSAT exam in your hands, Mr. S. is the best shot you will have at achieving your desired score. Perhaps the best part of his tutoring is that you will actually have fun learning the LSAT under. Armed with a beguiling personality and relaxed approach, he will teach you to gaze upon the next logic games section as a desired challenge rather than an agonizing test of your motivation to attend law school. As this review is in danger of becoming a ramble, I will now end with this: If you want to enjoy achieving your maximum score, sign up for a lesson with Mr. S. If you?d like to hate the next few months of your life as you struggle to underperform on the exam, look elsewhere. Mr. S. is a master of the LSAT, and he will make you one too (or at least as close as you personally are able to).

If you have a LSAT coming up and are freaking out because you feel as if your Kaplan Prep or other prep has NOT prepared you...STOP right here. It was the night before the November 2018 LSAT test and I was in a panic. I felt like my prep course had gotten me to a certain level, but not to the level I actually wanted (160-170 range). Something told me to peruse Wyzant and I am so glad I did. I came across Scott that evening and he was so kind as to respond to me, someone that wasn't even one of his students yet (the night before an official test!). He gave me some guidance which ultimately made me withdraw from the test because I knew I wanted to work with Scott before I ever sat down for the test...and boy was I right. Scott is the absolute best. His tricks and strategies are unlike anything I have ever learned in any prep course. From the first minute of the session with Scott, you are going to realize you made the right decision as your panic subsides...His course is structured and adaptable to you as an individual. Scott really takes into account the student, who they are, and what they want. Scott also makes the student realize that they are capable of anything, and that definitely begins to resonate in the scores...I immediately saw my PT scores rise after just one session with Scott...Something that had not happened since the plateau I experienced at Kaplan. Not to mention, I look forward to speaking with Scott. It is NOT something I dread but rather something I look forward to. I know that every minute with Scott is a minute that I incur more wisdom. In addition, Scott has a great sense of humor and is so kind...I can't help but smile throughout our entire session. I view Scott as a mentor. Scott has done so much for my score but he has done the most for my morale. Scott thank you for everything, I will be forever grateful. Thank you Wyzant for leading me to Scott!
